Something new

I've decided to give posterous a try, mostly as something to feed into twitter, friendfeed, facebook, and other things of that sort. It will be a complement for my blog, the place for junk that isn't really worth a proper blog post.

I've decided that URL shorteners are one of the worst ideas to become popular lately, and, the cause of the former, arbitrary small message limits (oh, say 140 characters). I like some things about Twitter, but over time its limitations have begun to become magnified. I still find it as an interesting way to share information in real time, which usually means links. However, the combination of the character limit and  URL shorteners hampers it too much, imho.
